How is the DISC Profile produced?
A DISC profile consists of an 18 page report that is created after the individual taking the report has completed a series of questions via a link received by email. The questionnaire takes approximately 7 minutes to complete.
The reports are delivered on an individual basis, where there are several people taking a DISC profile it is advisable to have a workshop prior to and following the DISC profile to ensure a more thorough understanding and to assist with improved collaboration within the team.
What is DISC?
• A psychometric test which is affected by environment
• One of the most highly validated instruments of its kind
• A tool that identifies the interaction of four factors (D.I.S.C)
• A system that opens a doorway of communication
Dr William M Marston, an expert in behavioural understanding, first identified the concept of the modern DISC behavioural system (he was also the inventor of the polygraph/Lie detector). Marston grouped people along two axes: either active or passive tendencies dependent upon their either antagonistic or favourable view of the environment. From this the four styles were formed:
D – Drive
I – Influence
S – Steadiness
C – Compliance
